PERSONAL & COMMISSIONED ILLUSTRATIONS
Prior to attending Dawson College I would have never considered myself an illustrator, in fact I shied away from it and found ways around it whenever it seemed like I was going to be faced with drawing something by hand. After starting at Dawson I immediately felt not only the presence of incredible illustrators in my class, but also the need to pull up my socks and focus on my drawing. After a few years of sketching on the metro, drawing at home, spending rideshares back and forth to Toronto playing in Illustrator, and essentially forcing myself to explore the program and try new techniques.... I now consider myself on my way to being able to create a lot of the images I see in my head from scratch all the way through to completion. This is a huge step for me personally as an artist and as a designer. This ability essentially sets me apart from being a designer who can only make you something constructed of elements that already exist. With myself, the possibilities are slowly becoming more and more limitless.
