Alien8 Records is a record label in Montreal who mainly represent noise and experimental music. In recent years, they have expanded their representation to include other local artists who do pop, electronic, rock, folk and many other genres. The mandate was to rebrand the label in order to modernize their identity and appeal to a new generation of listeners. The approach was to treat the brand as an alien entity, with its own language, as music is its own language that goes beyond listening.
