In a group of four, we needed to create a short video of the subject of our choice. We decided to make an ad of a popular makeup brand thats a bit edgy. We didn’t want the ad to be a typical boring ad, we wanted to use the makeup in a more abstract way. The ad was meant to be more of an artistic representation of the makeup. We experimented with various products in order to find the ones that worked well on camera and with the chosen background board. Picking the right type of paper or board for the background was very important because the products would smudge or transfer easier. Therefore, we had to use multiple disposable foam boards in order to be more productive in every shot.
