"Nautical Network" A Mixed Media Book Cover

A book cover design based on multiple illustration techniques using mixed media. For this cover, I used pen, pencil, watercolor, ink, photography and digital mediums. The concept for design content was based on creating a 15 to 20-word story only using words that start with a specific letter. The letter in question here was “N” for which I chose to illustrate a Narwhal as main characters in this story. On display are Narwhals in a Nautical setting, in the nippy newfoundland waters, surrounded by nefarious nautilus’ and the freshwater and sea God, Neptune.
