As innocent as snapchat's dog filter was supposed to be, it has now transgressed into a whole different world. It is now known by users of the social media application as the "hoe" filter. A teenager, primarily female, will likely be labelled as a "THOT" (That Hoe Over There) after sending a selfie using that filter. Slut shaming is one of the most common forms of sexual harassment that students in middle and high school face. A third of all students experienced “having someone make unwelcome sexual comments, jokes, or gestures to or about you” in person; 46% of girls experienced it and 22% of boys.
