“I look out at the world and I see chaos. And that's kind of the formula for being an outsider.” — John Zorn
John Zorn is an influential multi-faceted postmodern saxophonist, composer, arranger and producer from New York. His album The Book of Heads is a sequence of 35 partially improvised etudes for a single guitar player, produced/performed by John Zorn and Marc Ribot using balloons, pencils, strings, dolls, and guitars.
Extensive written, musical, and emotional research/ process was carried out in order to visually represent The Book of Heads in poster form (a small sample is seen in the last photo). It was then applied to event invitations and paper advertisements.
