Demo Reel
An animated compilation of some of my projects, the purpose of the demo reel is to promote my work as a graphic designer, while establishing a curated and cohesive aesthetic. My main goal was to make sure that my projects would flow nicely from one to the other. This involved the creation of moodboards that not only included nice projects, but also defined a singular aesthetic and color scheme. I made a conscious decision to select simpler designs to elevate them with interesting and clever animations. Within the first five seconds of my demo reel, the eye from my Man & The Machine video animation becomes a pie chart from my Pop Up Infographics book which then becomes a pictographic representation of an Armadillo that then transforms into my Earth Hour street banner design.
Other selected projects include; Pixelles rebranding, BAnQ letterhead design adapted to format, Autumn bookstore logo animation, Man & the Machine logo animation, Hiss Tracts concert poster, Mass Surveillance video animation illustration and last but not least a map of Montreal’s pocket parks between Berri and Beaudry.
I selected Alt-J’s Tesselate for its slow developing rhythm and balance between excitement and quiet subtleties.
