This project correlates to two of my classes. One of which was a three-dimensional design class, which taught me how to work in a wood shop. The project was to create a box using a letter, which is how this sculpture was created. The other class it relates to is a photography class where I was taught product photography on different backgrounds. It was made out of wood, acrylic paint and wood glue. I did not want to use staples or nails as it could remove the smoothness of the base, and photography to practice product photography. The inspiration for this piece was the manga series Death note. One of the secondary characters is named L and his logo is similar to the one created. The grey background for the photography seemed to complement to piece, rather than a white background that held too much contrast.
