This project was in my Infographics class, we were to choose a topic that has multiple locations in Montreal but must be near each other. I had chosen suit tailors and makers. The majorities were found in Downtown Montreal, near The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. What inspired me for this piece was fabric swatches used for suits, and the fabrics used to make suit jackets and pants. After doing a lot of research, grey with a white pinstripe seemed the most elegant. The pinstripes were made in a separate Illustrator document then imported. The streets look like different stitching’s that can be found with these products. Even the stitching’s were made individually on the computer to represent the handiwork the seamstresses go through.
